The Black Joy Project

11 actors, two documentarians, a producer, and a chef set out on a month-long retreat to explore the question, 'Can a play be created outside the power structures and without reference to whiteness, in a pure expression of Black Joy?'

The group of 17 Black creatives spent four undisturbed weeks at Knoll Farm in Waitsfield, VT to attempt to answer these questions, resulting in a new play, a methodology, and a documentary.

Cisco & Co. Productions has teamed with the Broadway for Biden/Harris campaign, founded by Executive Director Halle Morse, to Line Produce a series of fundraising events to contribute to the Biden/Harris Victory Fund.

US vs. Billie Holiday

Paramount Pictures has won North American rights to The United States Vs. Bilie Holiday, with Lee Daniels directing, producing, co-writing the script on the legendary jazz singer. Andra Day (Marshall) plays the iconic singer and Suzan-Lori Parkes wrote the script.

The picture is in post-production, and the plan is for it to be a major awards season release in the upcoming season. The film is produced by New Slate Ventures, Lee Daniels Entertainment, Roth Kirschenbaum Films with Jordan Fudge, Lee Daniels, Pamela Oas Williams, Tucker Tooley, Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum. Executive Producers include Hilary Shor, Jeremy Allen, Patty Long, Johann Hari, Elwes, Mark Bomback and Dennis Stratton.

The Anthology "Post Covid Reimaginings: From the Mind of Millenials"

This anthology will have re-imaginings of what the Live Performance world can look like when we emerge on the other side of the Pandemic. These innovations will be shared directly from Black Artists and Administrators who work in various artistic disciplines. Artists on the cusp of inheriting their roles as the future leaders of the creative industries...or Millennials.

The pieces will serve as a blueprint for the impending new dawn, unencumbered by our current societal limits. Writers have been asked to create the world they desire to live in...as practical or impractical as it may be.

The work will be in the form of short stories, essays, manifestos, etc. complete with an illustrator to create visuals for each reimagining.
